Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya stated in a post on his social media account that they would not give any quarter to terrorists for the sake of the country's peace, unity, and solidarity. He announced that 36 suspects had been apprehended within the scope of the 'Heroes-45' operations, which had been ongoing for 3 days in Antalya, Düzce, Elazığ, Istanbul, Konya, Mersin, Ordu, Rize, Sakarya, Sivas, and Trabzon, under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security Intelligence Department and the Counter-Terrorism Department.

Details regarding the Istanbul leg of the operations conducted against hardline extremist radical terrorist organizations have emerged.

It was stated that 7 out of 8 suspects with active arrest warrants were taken into custody during the operation carried out by field elements of the Istanbul Intelligence Branch and Counter-Terrorism (TEM) teams against individuals affiliated with Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and ISIS. During the raids, 199 thousand 420 Lira, 16 thousand 177 Dollars, 10 thousand 540 Euros, 2 thousand 800 Moroccan Dirhams, 5 thousand 377 Egyptian Pounds, 7 thousand Thai Baht, and 3 Lebanese Lira were seized.

While the investigation of the apprehended suspects continues at the Counter-Terrorism Branch, the funding network they provided to the organizations in question has also been uncovered. The terror suspects are accused of 'Violating the Law on the Prevention of Financing of Terrorism' numbered 6415 and 'Being a Member of an Armed Terrorist Organization' through an illegal money transfer method known as 'hawala'.

They are expected to be referred to the courthouse tomorrow after their statements are completed at the police station.
