Dilan Polat, her husband Engin Polat, and her sister Sıla Doğu have been detained

Dilan Polat, her husband Engin Polat, and her sister Sıla Doğu, who were previously under investigation and whose companies were searched in Istanbul, have been detained.

The statement issued by the Financial Crimes Investigation Branch stated the following:

Within the scope of the investigation conducted against the POLAT family under the coordination of the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding organized crimes under the Tax Procedure Law (VUK-213), the Turkish Penal Code (TCK-204), and the Turkish Penal Code (TCK-282):

The MASAK preliminary investigation report determined that 200,000,000 TL was funneled into companies owned by family members from three companies in liquidation through the issuance of fake invoices for sham trade; this money was then transferred between other companies owned by family members and ultimately consolidated in Milda Gayrimenkul, a firm owned by Engin POLAT, to purchase real estate and numerous vehicles.

 In a simultaneous operation conducted on 01.11.2023 at 01:15 across 43 addresses in 5 provinces (Ankara, Yalova, Ordu, Kırklareli, and Manisa) with the center in Istanbul;

14 suspects, including Engin Polat, Dilan Polat, Sinem Sıla Doğu, Sezgin Polat, and Ahmet Gün, have been detained, and search and arrest operations are ongoing.
