Diyanet President Ali Erbaş delivers 'sword' sermon at Hagia Sophia

Diyanet President Ali Erbaş addressed the conflict between Israel and Hamas during his Friday sermon at Hagia Sophia Mosque.
Erbaş, who stated, "One does not look at the race, language, or religion of the oppressed," once again ascended the pulpit with a sword.
Erbaş said the following:
"My dear brothers and sisters, one of the greatest atrocities witnessed in human history is taking place today in Palestine and Gaza. Innocent people, including babies, children, women, and the elderly, are being brutally murdered. Homes, mosques, schools, and even hospitals are being mercilessly bombed. A great crime against humanity is being committed before the eyes of the entire world. While thousands of innocent people lose their lives at once, a world that has lost its sense of fairness and conscience is merely watching this genocide. One does not look at the race, language, or religion of the oppressed. Even if the oppressor is Muslim and the oppressed is non-Muslim, our faith commands us to protect the rights of the oppressed against the oppressor, regardless of their religion or race."
