Driver ignores police stop signal, drives against traffic on highway
In Bursa, a driver who ignored a police stop signal and endangered traffic by entering the wrong way was caught following a chase.

In an incident that occurred in the evening, a driver in Bursa who ignored a police stop signal caused chaos in traffic. In a video shared on the Instagram account 'Bursa'ya dair herşey' (Everything about Bursa), it is seen that the driver of the pickup truck, pursued by police, does not stop and continues at high speed, entering the wrong way.
According to details obtained by 12punto.com.tr, the driver, who continued to flee toward Kocaeli, entered the wrong way on the highway on the Mudanya road and continued his escape. The driver inside the vehicle, who was caught in the Emek neighborhood of Bursa, was taken into custody following a 116-kilometer pursuit.
Following the footage released this evening, teams from the Bursa Public Security Branch Office stopped the vehicle and took the driver into custody. It was learned that the driver, Derviş E., said in his statement, "I took goods to Manisa. Afterward, I stopped by Nilüfer Görüklü. I had been drinking alcohol. When I saw the police, I started to flee."
The driver, who was found to have a blood alcohol level of 0.32 percent, had his license confiscated because the vehicle was commercial. On the other hand, it was learned that judicial proceedings would be initiated against the driver Derviş E. for 'endangering general safety'.
