Police teams initiated legal proceedings against the drunk driver who had been tailgating the ambulance.
The incident occurred around 23:30 on Adnan Kahveci Boulevard and Dr. Tevfik Sağlam Street in Bakırköy.
While the official 112 ambulance with license plate 34 YB 6407, driven by M.T., was transporting a patient, it was followed by a vehicle with license plate 34 HGJ 225, driven by H.K. Arriving in front of the police station with the ambulance, M.T. requested assistance from the police teams. As a result of the alcohol test conducted by traffic teams called to the police station, it was determined that H.K. had a blood alcohol level of 2.10 promille.
Following the incident, statements were taken from the individuals. H.K. was brought to the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office under custody. The prosecutor's office is continuing its investigation into the matter.
