Ekrem İmamoğlu shares new video

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who will compete as the sole candidate in the primary election to be held by the CHP on March 23, issued a call to party members by posting a reminder on his social media account.

In the video he shared with the note, “That ballot box will be placed before the nation, and everything will be very beautiful. On March 23, Republican People's Party members will cast their votes in the primary and show that they are determined to change this broken system. The struggle will grow like an avalanche,” İmamoğlu stated the following:

Dear Republican People's Party members, my dear fellow citizens… Our country is in the midst of a very severe economic crisis that everyone, from the poorest to the richest, is complaining about. The government is displaying great incompetence and terrible negligence in providing citizens with their basic rights such as justice, education, health, and security. They have established a broken system based on loyalty instead of merit, and the administrators they appoint no longer feel responsible to the nation, but only to their leaders.

Those who criticize the government and seek their rights are investigated and imprisoned, but no one under the wings of the government receives the punishment they deserve, even if they commit the most serious crimes; yet, this government still cannot feel safe. They are right, because they are under the threat of the ballot box and the national will. They know very well that this nation, which brought them out of the ballot box, is counting the days to bury them in it this time. In the primary election we will hold on March 23, we will show the government what it fears most: the ballot box. We will show the value of democracy and the national will. We will remind them that those who choose are superior to those who are chosen. Every vote will be a challenge to those who run from the ballot box. On March 23, Republican People's Party members will show that they are determined to change this broken system, and this struggle will grow like an avalanche. That ballot box will be placed before the nation, and everyone will get what they deserve. There is no salvation alone, come on, let's all get to work. The Republican People's Party will succeed, Turkey will win, and the nation's right will belong to the nation.
