Father and children lose their lives: Footage of the landslide disaster in Samsun that killed 3 people has emerged

In the incident that occurred around 23:20 in the Toptepe neighborhood of Samsun's Canik district, at a gas station located next to the Lovelet shopping mall, massive pieces of earth and rock broke off from the mountain and slid toward the car wash section.

At the moment of the disaster, a car waiting at the car wash was buried under the piles of earth. Upon notification, numerous search-and-rescue and medical teams were dispatched to the area. As a result of the intensive efforts of the teams, the mother, Çiğdem Kaya, who was in the vehicle, was rescued with injuries and taken to the hospital.

During the rescue operations supported by heavy machinery, the teams reached the vehicle trapped under the debris and determined that the father, Adem Kaya (36), and his children, Açelya (5) and Alya Kaya (7), had lost their lives. The bodies of the father and his children were sent to the Samsun Forensic Medicine Group Presidency.

The footage that emerged revealed the moments when the massive mass of earth and rock piled onto the family's car in seconds.
