Final farewell to Sırrı Süreyya Önder: His mother embraced the coffin and wailed!

A memorial ceremony was held at the Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM) for the late Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly and DEM Party Istanbul MP Sırrı Süreyya Önder. The ceremony was attended by Önder's family, loved ones, fellow members of parliament, and many figures from the arts community.

HIS FUNERAL BROUGHT TO THE MOSQUE

Following the ceremony, Önder's body was brought to the Barbaros Hayrettin Pasha Mosque in Istanbul's Beşiktaş district amidst prayers. His family and relatives were overcome with grief as they stood by the coffin placed on the funeral bier.

Önder's mother, Zeliha Önder, embraced her son's coffin and wailed. The grieving mother's cries broke hearts, while her relatives and family members tried to console her.

EMOTIONAL FAREWELL FROM HIS DAUGHTER CEREN

His daughter, Ceren Önder Kandemir, who read a letter she had written to her father during the ceremony, spoke through tears. Kandemir said, "Father, all the color has gone from life. The life I knew is over. A new life is beginning, full of frightening uncertainty. Ever since I can remember, I have been afraid of losing you."
