The cause of the fire on the roof of the 7-story apartment building located on Gazi Mustafa Kemal Boulevard in Maltepe Neighborhood has not yet been determined. The fire grew rapidly due to the wind. Firefighting crews are intervening in the fire and continuing cooling efforts, but it is difficult to bring it under control as the flames flare up again due to the effect of the strong winds.
