Health Minister Fahrettin Koca was protested by earthquake survivors at various intervals during the commemoration program held on the anniversary of the earthquake in Antakya, Hatay, which was devastated by the February 6 earthquakes.
'SOMETIMES PROTEST IS MET WITH UNDERSTANDING'
Minister Koca made a statement regarding the protests on his personal social media account.
Koca used the following expressions:
"Is there anyone who is disturbed by the respectful commemoration of the lives we lost in the earthquake, the remembrance of their memories, the recitation of Fatihas for their souls in silence, and the offering of prayers? These minutes are minutes of respect. Behavior to the contrary hurts both the living and the souls of those who have departed from among us. Sometimes protest is met with understanding. But these minutes of respect are not the time for it."
