Forest fire in Istanbul! It grew instantly with the wind
A fire that broke out in a wooded area in the Mustafa Kemal Paşa neighborhood of Arnavutköy has been brought under control through the intervention of fire department and Forestry Directorate teams. Arnavutköy Mayor Mustafa Candaroğlu monitored the firefighting efforts on-site. It is suspected that the fire was caused by a cigarette butt.
The incident occurred in a wooded area located on Gazi Fahrettin Paşa Street in the Mustafa Kemal Paşa neighborhood of Arnavutköy. The fire, which started around 13:15, caused panic in the surrounding area. Citizens who noticed the fire notified the fire department and the firefighting teams affiliated with the Forestry Directorate. The fire, which grew rapidly due to the wind, was brought under control as a result of the teams' prolonged efforts. While the firefighting efforts were ongoing, Arnavutköy Mayor Mustafa Candaroğlu also closely monitored the work.

SUSPICION THAT THE FIRE WAS CAUSED BY A CIGARETTE BUTT
While the teams have brought the fire under control, cooling efforts are continuing in the area. During the initial investigations at the scene, it is believed that the fire started from a cigarette butt thrown into the wooded area and grew due to the effect of the wind.
