Fraudsters posing as 'bankers' caught in İzmir
Three suspects who identified themselves as bank employees to steal personal information and defrauded 9 citizens of 2 million liras have been caught by police teams.
In İzmir, 3 suspects were detained in an operation targeting fraudsters who called citizens on the phone, identified themselves as bankers, obtained their personal information, and ordered electronic goods for themselves via cargo.
The suspects were arrested by the court to which they were referred after their procedures at the police station.

Teams from the İzmir Police Department's Fraud Bureau identified the suspects who posed as bank employees to obtain personal information under the pretext of refunding credit card fees, subsequently created fake identities in the names of the citizens whose information they had stolen, and defrauded 9 citizens of nearly 2 million liras by ordering electronic goods for themselves. Following technical and physical surveillance, an operation was carried out at the addresses under the instruction of the prosecutor's office. Various electronic items and SIM cards were seized during searches at the addresses.
3 PEOPLE ARRESTED
The 3 target suspects identified within the scope of the operation, M.A. (41), M.İ. (31), and O.K. (36), were detained by police teams. The suspects, who were referred to the courthouse after their procedures at the police station, were arrested by the court they were brought before.
