A gift from Bilal Erdoğan to his father, President Erdoğan
Bilal Erdoğan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the İlim Yayma Foundation, presented a book by Erzurumlu İbrahim Hakkı to his father, President Erdoğan, at the foundation's awards ceremony.
The İlim Yayma Society and Foundation's 'İlim Yayma Awards' ceremony was held at the Atatürk Cultural Center.
The winner of the "İlim Yayma Foundation 50th Anniversary Special Award" was Nobel laureate scientist Aziz Sancar. Bilal Erdoğan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the İlim Yayma Foundation, presented the award to TÜBİTAK President Hasan Mandal on behalf of Sancar.
The "Social Sciences Award" was given to Prof. Dr. Zekeriya Kurşun from Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University, and the "Engineering, Natural and Health Sciences Award" was given to Prof. Dr. İlhami Gülçin from Erzurum Atatürk University.
ERDOĞAN ANNOUNCED THE WINNER OF THE 'GRAND PRIZE'
The winner of the "Grand Prize" was announced by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The Grand Prize was awarded to Prof. Dr. İbrahim Akduman from Istanbul Technical University for his work on the early diagnosis of breast cancer.
During the ceremony, Bilal Erdoğan, in his capacity as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the İlim Yayma Foundation, presented a book by Erzurumlu İbrahim Hakkı, who lived between 1703 and 1780, as a gift to his father, President Erdoğan.
