Theologian Ebubekir Sifil drew attention with his reaction to a question asked to him on social media: "Is it permissible to kiss the mother of one's future wife when getting married?" Sifil responded by saying, "It is not permissible for a man to kiss his wife's mother's hand. If something awakens in our body, our wife becomes forbidden to us."
Sifil, who previously sparked major controversy with his statement that "those who do not pray can be killed," has once again come to the public's attention with his latest remarks. Sifil's statements have drawn significant backlash on social media.
