Three children aged 8, 6, and 2, who were left alone in a two-story shanty house in Antalya, were rescued at the last moment from a fire. One of the children cried to the ambulance crew, saying, "My mom has no money, but..." Those moments, which could be considered a summary of poverty, were captured on camera.

The fire broke out yesterday around 14:40 on the first floor of a shanty house in the Kepez district of Antalya. Smoke from a burning stove quickly engulfed the entire house. The three small children, who were learned to be alone in the house, were trapped among the flames. Upon hearing the children's cries, employees of a market across from the house tried to intervene with fire extinguishers.

The 112 emergency teams were also notified. Teams from the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department rescued the children from the flames. The children, who were taken into an ambulance to have their health status checked, described the fear they felt.

At that moment, one of the children expressed their fear by saying, "Don't take me anywhere, you're going to do something at the hospital." Upon this, a firefighter tried to calm the child down by saying, "We won't do anything at the hospital, we're just going to look after you." Hearing the health worker respond with, "They are afraid their mom will be angry," the firefighter said, "Your mom will come too, wait." The 8-year-old child replied, "My mom has no money."

Those moments were captured on camera. Images of the house where the children lived once again laid bare the poverty. It was seen that there was not even a chair to sit on in the living room of the house.
