The hotel in Beyoğlu where Selçuk Tengioğlu, who attacked CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, was staying has been sealed on the grounds that it was operating without a license.
Following a ceremony held at the Atatürk Cultural Center for Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and DEM Party Istanbul MP Sırrı Süreyya Önder, Selçuk Tengioğlu attacked CHP Chairman Özgür Özel and was subsequently taken into custody.
While police processing of Selçuk Tengioğlu, who was revealed to be a filicide, continues, it was discovered that the hotel in Beyoğlu where the suspect was staying was unlicensed.
The hotel was sealed by municipal teams.
