When asked, "How do you define secularism?" Bayuncuk openly stated his opposition to secularism, using the phrase "Secularism is a form of defying God." Describing those who defend secularism as "infidels," Bayuncuk claimed that these individuals are tyrants attempting to interfere with religion and the state.

SCANDALOUS CONFESSION FROM BAYUNCUK: "VOTING IS BLASPHEMY"

Akit TV host Muharrem Coşkun asked Bayuncuk, "Are those who vote also infidels?" In a surprising turn, Bayuncuk defined the act of voting as "blasphemy" (küfür), rejected the concept of secularism, and emphasized that he believes the right to sovereignty belongs solely to God.

HARSH REACTION TO KEMALIST EDUCATION: "WE DO NOT SEND OUR CHILDREN"

Bayuncuk also leveled harsh criticisms against Kemalist education. Claiming that "children are being given a Kemalist education," he alleged that this education contains ideological impositions. Stating that they do not send the children belonging to his own sect to Kemalist schools, Bayuncuk said, "We educate the children, but we do not send them to Kemalist education."

Halis Bayuncuk has been arrested many times in the past and has spent years in prison. The Bakırköy 16th High Criminal Court sentenced Bayuncuk to 6 years and 3 months in prison for being a "member of the Al-Qaeda armed terrorist organization." Later, the Sakarya 2nd High Criminal Court sentenced Bayuncuk to 12 years and 6 months in prison for "establishing or managing an armed terrorist organization." However, Bayuncuk was released last year on the grounds that there was "no suspicion of flight."
