Letter criticizing Erdoğan read on Akit TV: 'You disappointed us'

While Israel's attacks on civilians in Palestine continue, a notable letter was featured on Akit TV, a channel known for its proximity to the government.

In the letter, which was stated to have been written by a Palestinian girl who lost her entire family in Israel's attacks on Gaza, AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was asked, "Why didn't you help us when you have powerful armies?" and it was stated, "When I reach my Lord, I will complain about you to Him. You disappointed us."

On the Gece Ajansı (Night Agency) program, hosted by Muhammet Binici on Akit TV, with AKP Istanbul Deputy Hasan Doğan as a guest, the letter from a Palestinian girl named Danya, which began with the lines “If this message reaches you, know that I have become a martyr,” included the following expressions: 

"Uncle Erdoğan, my name is Danya Abu Muhsin. The Zionist ‘Israel’ killed my entire family. They killed my father, my mother, and my siblings; they killed them all. Thank God, after I lost my right leg in the bombing, He left only me alive. I was very, very sad about what happened to me and my family. There is nothing I can do but pray to God for mercy upon them. Despite everything, I thank God.

But Uncle Tayyip, you were my only expectation and hope. I had high hopes for you. We waited for you so much, thinking you would not leave us alone, that you would definitely support us and come to our aid, but unfortunately, you did not come to help us. Yet, all the people of Gaza knew and recognized you as a Muslim leader who stands against oppression and injustice, who does not accept wrongdoing, and who supports oppressed Muslims everywhere and rushes to their aid.

Uncle Tayyip, I am resentful and hurt because you could not be with us in practice and could not rush to our aid. When I reach my Lord, I will complain about you to Him. Because you disappointed us and did not prevent the oppression inflicted upon us. I will also tell the Messenger of Allah that despite the existence of your powerful army, you did not send your power and your army to help us and save us from death, just as America and all the infidels helped Zionist Israel in practice.

Allah is sufficient for me, and He is the best disposer of affairs.”
