Major operation: 25,000 wanted individuals detained in Istanbul
Under the coordination of the Istanbul Public Security Branch Directorate, 25,027 individuals with outstanding arrest warrants for various crimes were detained across the province. It was learned that the sentences of the wanted individuals ranged from 12 to 68 years.

Under the coordination of the Istanbul Public Security Branch Directorate, teams from the Wanted Persons Bureau conducted an operation targeting wanted individuals. In the operations carried out between 01.01.2024 and 15.02.2024, with the support of many police units in Istanbul, 25,027 people were detained.
THOSE WANTED FOR MURDER AND SEXUAL ASSAULT ARE ALSO AMONG THEM
Among those detained in the operation carried out under the coordination of the Istanbul Public Security Branch Directorate were Selçuk T., who had a 68-year and 6-month prison sentence for fraud; Fatih Y., who had a 57-year and 11-month prison sentence for fraud; İdris E., who had a 45-year prison sentence for robbery; Sait K., who had a 37-year and 2-month prison sentence for robbery; Tamer Y., who had a 30-year prison sentence for intentional homicide; Efe B., who had a 24-year and 6-month prison sentence for theft; Arif P., who had a 26-year and 10-month prison sentence for theft; Halit S., who had a 20-year prison sentence for intentional homicide; Yaşar A., who had a 19-year and 10-month prison sentence for child sexual abuse; and Şeref G., who had a 12-year prison sentence for sexual assault.
It was learned that 7,397 of the 25,027 detained individuals, who had already been convicted, were delivered to prison.
