McDonald's Turkey had issued a statement: Branches were attacked
Following Israel's attack on the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital last night, which resulted in the deaths of over 500 civilians, a group in Istanbul attacked several McDonald's branches. McDonald's Turkey had previously stated that it has no connection to Israel.
Following claims that McDonald's was providing aid to Israeli soldiers, attacks on branches are being carried out in many countries.
Following the death of over 500 civilians in Israel's attack on the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital last night, protests also took place in Turkey. In Istanbul, attacks were carried out on some McDonald's branches.
Most recently, McDonald's Turkey announced that it would provide 1 million dollars in humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza who are victims of the war.
The statement included the following expressions:
"McDonald's in Turkey is a local business; its entire ownership and operation are overseen by the Qatari company Boheme Investment. There is no connection between the operations of McDonald's Israel and McDonald's Turkey.
Furthermore, as McDonald's Turkey, we hereby announce to the public that we will provide 1 million dollars in humanitarian aid support to the civilian population in Gaza, especially women, children, and the elderly."
