Message from terrorist leader Öcalan to the İmralı delegation regarding Demirtaş!

The developments that began with MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli shaking hands with DEM Party deputies at the opening of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, and the subsequent visit of DEM Party members Sırrı Süreyya Önder and Pervin Buldan to İmralı to meet with PKK terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan, continue to remain on the agenda.

Following the meeting, the DEM Party delegation, which also included former Mardin Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Türk—who was replaced by a government-appointed trustee—along with Önder and Buldan, began a series of visits in the Turkish Grand National Assembly and Ankara.

While discussions regarding a new resolution process continue in the public eye, DEM Party Deputy Co-Chair Tayip Temel shared details regarding the DEM Party–İmralı meeting.

Speaking on Halk TV, Temel stated that emphasis was placed on Selahattin Demirtaş during the meetings in İmralı.

Stating, "In the discussion regarding the delegation in İmralı, Abdullah Öcalan placed significant emphasis on Selahattin Demirtaş," Temel continued as follows:

"This emphasis is as follows: He had undoubtedly expressed his will to support and be involved in this process. Demirtaş, Leyla Güven, and Figen Yüksekdağ are all at the center of this process. If this process develops, they will continue to be the winners; if it does not, they will continue to be the victims."

DENIAL OF BAHÇELİ CLAIM

Temel issued a denial regarding the claim that MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli intervened when the name of Selahattin Demirtaş was mentioned during the meeting between the DEM Party delegation and Bahçeli.

Temel stated, "A reservation regarding Demirtaş was never mentioned during the meeting with Bahçeli. This is absolutely a speculation. While we have been discussing for a long time what the resolution of the issue would lead to, Selahattin Demirtaş and our other friends have important roles to play. Demirtaş is an important actor right in the middle of this discussion. Let no one have any doubts about this."
