Osman Çil, a resident of the İrfanlı neighborhood in the Düziçi district of Osmaniye, bought Ekici brand cheese from a local grocery store for breakfast. When his wife opened the container to prepare breakfast, a metal nut emerged from inside the cheese.

METAL NUT FOUND INSIDE CHEESE

Çil contacted Ekici, the company that produced the cheese containing the metal nut.

Company officials stated that they could send him products to rectify their mistake.

Stating that the company disregarded health regulations, Çil announced that he would file a criminal complaint with the relevant authorities.

"INSTEAD OF HELPING, COMPANY OFFICIALS MADE REMARKS LIKE 'LET US SEND YOU THIS, LET US SEND YOU THAT'"

Osman Çil, who said he rejected the company's offer to send him other products, stated: "We bought the cheese from a local market where I shop regularly. Later, when my wife was trying to prepare breakfast, she called out to me. She said there was a foreign object in the cheese. When I came and looked, I saw a metal bolt inside. Thinking about the possibility of my children eating it, I called the consumer hotline on the packaging. However, instead of helping in any way, the company officials approached the situation differently, making remarks like 'let me send you this, let me send you that, or would you send it to me?' In response, I told them that this happened to me, and with the thought that it shouldn't happen to anyone else, I would report it and reach out to the necessary authorities so that it doesn't happen to other people's children or anyone else. I believe that the work carried out by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Trade regarding this issue needs to be more regular and frequent. I think that if there were more regular and meticulous inspections, such foreign objects or substances would not be present."
