Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya stated in a post on his social media account: "Ramazan Pişkin, known as Ramazan Hoca from Diyarbakır, unfortunately lost his life in a knife attack he was subjected to in Fatih, Istanbul yesterday. As a result of the work carried out by our Istanbul Police Department, the murder suspect of Ramazan Hoca, E.B., has been caught. I congratulate our heroic police officers. I wish God's mercy upon Ramazan Hoca and offer my condolences to his relatives. May he rest in peace and may his place be high."
