Moments that left their mark on the live broadcast: Ahmet Hakan couldn't even say 'the Ministry is at fault' while giving an example
As the debate over 'responsibility' continues regarding the fire disaster in Bolu that claimed the lives of 78 citizens, the moments when pro-government journalist Ahmet Hakan could not bring himself to say 'the Ministry is at fault' even while providing an example have become a trending topic on social media.
78 citizens lost their lives as a result of a fire that broke out at the Grand Kartal Hotel in the Bolu Kartalkaya Ski Center.
While 12 people have been detained in connection with the disaster, a debate over who is 'responsible' has begun between the government and the opposition.
Ahmet Hakan, Editor-in-Chief of Hürriyet, known for his proximity to the government, drew attention with his remarks regarding the fire disaster on his program 'Tarafsız Bölge' (Neutral Zone) on CNN Türk.
HE COULD NOT SAY "THE MINISTRY IS AT FAULT"
During the program, which aired with the lower-third graphic "Who are the responsible parties?" regarding the fire disaster in Bolu, Ahmet Hakan stated, "We are trying to conduct an analysis without approaching it with the mindset of 'this one is guilty, that one is guilty, the municipality is guilty, the ministry is innocent, the ministry is innocent, the municipality is guilty'."
Those moments became a trending topic on social media with the caption, 'He couldn't even say "the Ministry is at fault" while giving an example.'
