Murat Bardakçı equates Kuvayi Milliye with jihadist Hamas!

Historian Murat Bardakçı was a guest on Fatih Altaylı's Teke Tek Bilim program on YouTube.

In the program, which was broadcast under the title 'Did they sell Palestinian lands?', Murat Bardakçı used expressions that drew backlash.

"CALLING HAMAS A TERRORIST ORGANIZATION..."

After Bardakçı stated, "Calling Hamas a terrorist organization is equivalent to calling the War of Independence or the Kuvayi Milliye a terrorist organization," Fatih Altaylı asked, "It has nothing to do with it. Did the Kuvayi Milliye kill civilians?"

In response to Altaylı's question, Bardakçı replied, "We didn't have such settlements. If we had, we would have killed them too, of course. What else would you do?"

RESPONSE TO İLBER ORTAYLI AND CELAL ŞENGÖR

On the other hand, Bardakçı also responded to İlber Ortaylı and Celal Şengör, who claimed that 'Palestinians sold their lands'.

Stating, "Both are my friends, but what they are saying is a fairy tale," Bardakçı added, "If our people didn't talk about subjects they don't know about, the world would fall into a great silence. Land sales only reached 6% by 1948. Most of them were Lebanese families."
