The incident occurred around 10:00 PM the other evening on Prof. Dr. Orhan Ersek Street in the Teşvikiye neighborhood of Şişli. According to reports, engineer Fatih Aksin, who lived alone on the second floor of a 3-story building, suffered a head injury outside for reasons yet unknown. Aksin, who returned home covered in blood, sent a message to two of his friends asking for help.

Allegedly, his friends who arrived at his home saw that Aksin had a head injury and was covered in blood. Engineer Fatih Aksin passed away in his home due to the head injury he sustained. In the information they provided to police teams, the two friends who came to help said, "We don't know what happened to our friend. When we went to the house, we wanted to take him to a doctor. He told us, 'I'm fine.' He was okay. Then he suddenly got worse. We immediately notified medical teams."

INCIDENT INVESTIGATED

Crime scene investigation teams and the Public Prosecutor conducted a long examination at the house. Following the examinations, the unfortunate man's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute Morgue. The Şişli District Police Department teams determined that Fatih Aksin had gone out at 2:10 PM on the day of the incident and returned home an hour later at 3:10 PM. The one-hour period the engineer spent outside was placed under scrutiny.

"HE FELL TO THE GROUND"

During the investigation, a florist on Vali Konağı Street stated that they saw an unknown person fall backward to the ground, and when they went to help, they offered him water and an ambulance, but he refused. Following this, security camera footage from the area was examined, and a camera that captured the moment of the incident was identified.

MYSTERY BEHIND THE SUSPICIOUS DEATH LIFTED

In the examined camera footage, it was determined that engineer Fatih Aksin lost his balance and fell backward without any outside interference, injuring the back of his head by hitting the corner of a store entrance step, and subsequently returned to his residence after refusing help from those around him. With the emergence of that footage, the mystery behind the suspicious death incident was lifted.
