New detail in Istanbul church attack: Cell house filmed!
In the investigation into the armed attack at the Santa Maria Church in Sarıyer, Istanbul, which resulted in one death, the detached house in Kayseri where the network behind the attack allegedly held organizational meetings has been filmed.
At the Santa Maria Church in Sarıyer, Istanbul, a new development has occurred in the investigation into the armed attack that resulted in the death of one person, and the cell house used by the organization as an intelligence hub has been filmed.
Security and intelligence units were investigating the background of illegal activities in Kayseri on January 5, the exact nature of which could not be determined but were assessed as organizational, when they encountered traces of the suspects again in the same city on January 7.
Accordingly, key figures of the network that carried out the attack, Davıd T., Amırjon K., and those assessed to be acting with them, Abdulaziz A., Rasul A., İslam M., Omadbek K.D., and Temurbek M.U.E., met days before the act on January 5 and set off from Istanbul in two vehicles with license plates 34 LP and 34 FOU. The cell, whose codes are gradually being deciphered, was met in Kayseri by Amenullah H., codenamed "Abdullah," who took them to an address in the Yunus Emre neighborhood of the Kocasinan district in Kayseri. It was determined that the suspects held organizational meetings at this address, and they were later recorded meeting at a hotel known to security forces in Melikgazi, Kayseri, between 05:36 and 17:18 on January 7. It was determined that cell members Amırjon K., along with Rasul A., Davıd T., Omadbek D., and Temurbek E., gathered in room 205, while Omadbek D. and Temurbek E. also came together in room 305 of the hotel.
THAT HOUSE FILMED
The detached house in Kayseri where the network behind the attack allegedly held organizational meetings has been filmed. It was learned that the house was rented out 5 months ago and was occupied by a foreign national couple; a tarp pulled across the garden to obstruct the view of the house also drew attention. Additionally, it was learned that the couple had been taken into custody and brought to the police station.
NEIGHBORHOOD RESIDENTS SPOKE
Residents living on Magosa Street in the Yunus Emre neighborhood, where the house is located, expressed their shock after hearing about the incident. A street resident, M.Ç., said, "They had been living here for about 5-6 months. We would greet each other when we saw him, and he would return the greeting. We didn't have much intimacy beyond that. No one else came or went. Sometimes he would come with his wife, and sometimes he would leave on his own three-wheeled vehicle. He would come at night and leave at night. I never encountered him during the day."
