New development regarding the woman who did not pay the taxi fare in Üsküdar!
The female passenger, who was detained for arguing with the driver after failing to pay the fare for the taxi she took in Üsküdar, has been referred to the courthouse.
Istanbul Police Department teams took action following footage shared on social media showing a female passenger who got out of a taxi after a trip to Acıbadem Neighborhood attempting to leave without paying the fare.
During the investigation, it was determined that the identified individual, J.S.S., wanted to pay the 285 lira transportation fee with a credit card after the trip, and asked for the IBAN number of the taxi driver, A.H.D., due to an issue with the POS machine in the vehicle.
It was learned that J.S.S. then got out of the vehicle and stated that her mother would make the payment, and that an argument broke out between the two after the taxi driver responded negatively to this.
J.S.S., who was detained by police teams following the incident and against whom proceedings were initiated for the crimes of "breach of trust" and "intentional injury," has been referred to the courthouse.
