Notable outburst on Tele1: 'We have become İmamoğlu TV'

Notable moments occurred on the Sabah Pusulası program hosted by Musa Özuğurlu on Tele1. While statements by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu were being aired, host Özuğurlu reacted to the report.

Complaining about the length of the news segment, Özuğurlu expressed his frustration on air, saying, "We have become İmamoğlu TV." Criticizing the constant extensive coverage given to İmamoğlu, Özuğurlu used the following expressions:

"If İmamoğlu were to start a television station, he couldn't broadcast a report this long. He truly couldn't. 'İmamoğlu TV'... I am talking about our program. It has become 'İmamoğlu TV'... What is this, why is it so long? İmamoğlu is saying something, fine, but... Why is it so long? Constantly İmamoğlu, İmamoğlu..."

FERDİ TAYFUR REMARKS HAD ALSO DRAWN ATTENTION

Musa Özuğurlu's past remarks about Ferdi Tayfur had also drawn attention. Özuğurlu had used the following expressions regarding Tayfur:

"Everyone praises Ferdi Tayfur; Devlet Bahçeli was even making video clips for a while, and he also announced that he was very saddened. What kind of person he was from a human perspective does not concern us, but when we look at it from an artistic perspective, it was terrible. He was making heavy, tearful arabesque music. From a musical perspective, it was terrible."
