A laser was pointed by an unidentified person or persons at a plane belonging to a private aviation company, which was flying from Istanbul to İzmir, as it was preparing to land. The moment the laser, which endangered flight safety, was pointed at the plane was captured on a mobile phone camera by a passenger on board.
PENALTY IS 91 THOUSAND 139 LIRA
According to the administrative fines published by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, a fine of 91 thousand 139 lira is imposed for pointing lasers at aircraft in a way that risks flight safety, interfering with aircraft communications, or committing similar violations.
