Police continue to identify drifting via social media: 1 person caught, 20,778 TL fine issued
A driver who performed a drift in the middle of the street in Sarıyer and shared the footage on social media was caught by the Civil Traffic Bureau teams of the Traffic Inspection Branch Directorate.

Yesterday at around 12:30 PM, a driver who performed a drift at the intersection of Eski Kilyos Street and Taşkıran Street in the Havantepe area shared the footage on social media.
Following the work carried out by the Istanbul Police Department Traffic Inspection Branch Directorate Civil Traffic Bureau teams, it was determined that the driver of the car was E.Y.
A total fine of 20,778 Turkish Lira was issued to E.Y. by the teams for 'driving in a manner that endangers traffic and in a disrespectful way.' Additionally, judicial proceedings were initiated against E.Y. for 'endangering traffic safety.'
