Police 'live bingo' operation
Police raiding an unlicensed business in Kağıthane issued a total of 56,770 TL in administrative fines to 14 people playing live bingo, in accordance with the Law on Misdemeanors. Teams from the Public Security Branch Office's Morality and Gambling Bureau conducted a gambling operation on an unlicensed business located on Ceyhan Street in Çeliktepe, Kağıthane, following a tip-off the other day. Upon entering, police issued administrative fines totaling 56,770 TL to 14 people found playing 'live bingo', in accordance with the Law on Misdemeanors.
The person in charge of the venue, 43-year-old L.P., who has 4 prior criminal records, along with A.A., who was acting as the bingo croupier and has 9 prior criminal records, and O.U., who has 20 prior criminal records, were taken into custody. The interrogation of the suspects, who were taken to the Public Security Branch Office, is ongoing. Meanwhile, the operational bingo machine found at the gambling venue, along with a television, a camera, and other materials, were seized.
