Polonez Food Factory workers, who have been resisting for months in Çatalca, Istanbul, gathered in front of the factory to take their resistance to Ankara. The workers, who have been on strike for 140 days at the factory where 354 people work, wanted to walk first to the Çatalca Courthouse and then to Ankara. Encountering a harsh police intervention, the workers were detained with their hands cuffed behind their backs.

Polonez workers had organized against poor working conditions, low wages, and overtime, and many workers were fired on the grounds that they were unionized.
