Pro-government journalists clash on live broadcast: Fight between Cem Küçük and Nagehan Alçı
Pro-government journalists Cem Küçük and Nagehan Alçı clashed during a live broadcast on Habertürk TV, where the "DEM Party-Öcalan" meeting was being discussed.
Following MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli's call for "DEM and Imralı to meet," the visit by DEM Party members Sırrı Süreyya Önder and Pervin Buldan to Imralı on December 28 to meet with the leader of the terrorist organization PKK, Abdullah Öcalan, continues to remain on the agenda.
A debate broke out between pro-government journalists Cem Küçük and Nagehan Alçı on the Habertürk Gündem program on Habertürk TV, where the DEM Party-Öcalan meeting was being evaluated.
Following the remarks by Türkiye Gazetesi columnist Cem Küçük, who is close to the government, that "Erdoğan did not know that a call would be made to Öcalan, as Şamil Tayyar said," Habertürk columnist Nagehan Alçı reacted to Cem Küçük by asking, "Who did you ask? Did you ask Fahrettin Altun?"
Cem Küçük, who argued that the state that ended terrorism would not make a deal with the PKK and that the highest-ranking figures in the state had stated this, was met with a reaction from Nagehan Alçı, who said: "For years, an abstract stick has been used by saying 'the Turkish State.' The President, who is the head of the state, and Devlet Bahçeli will come out together and say this is a state project, so that those who use an abstract concept of the state as a stick, like Cem, will be silenced."
"WE ARE LISTENING TO YOUR BLOODTHIRSTY VIEWS"
Nagehan Alçı continued her speech by saying: "We are listening to your bloodthirsty views. Cem Küçük should not try to silence us by saying 'Mr. Hakan.' When the resolution process began, some circles were also trying to obstruct it by saying there can be no resolution without democracy. The process initiated by Bahçeli is so that the PKK can never point a weapon again. The goal is for the PKK to lay down its arms. Currently, Cem is in a more 'hawkish' position than Bahçeli. It seems there were factions within the state trying to sabotage the resolution process before, and now there are other factions."
"HE ACTS LIKE A PEACE AMBASSADOR, NAGEHAN SHOULD APOLOGIZE TO ME"
When Cem Küçük asked Nagehan Alçı to apologize to him, Nagehan Alçı asked: "I will never apologize; what more needs to be done to convince you that this is a state project?"
Cem Küçük responded to Nagehan Alçı by saying, "You should also reduce this PKK sensitivity, condemn the PKK for once." To Nagehan Alçı, who said, "These are very ugly accusations, I condemn you," he replied with the words: "If you say I want blood, then I will call you a PKK lover. I will say you want soldiers to be martyred."
