Former ITU Aerospace Engineering student Okan Bayram died by suicide at the university's Ayazağa Campus.
While the incident caused outrage on social media, Marmara University students organized a protest in Beyazıt for Bayram.
In a social media post regarding the protest, the student union stated, "We were in Beyazıt to hold them accountable for our fellow students who were driven to suicide and condemned to hunger and poverty."
