Shot his best friend in the head over 650 liras

In the Mudanya district of Bursa, a person named Mehmet Ayaz murdered Derviş Ö., who was learned to be his best friend, for not paying a debt. Ayaz, who was demanding his money, got into an argument with Derviş Ö., then shot his friend in the head and rolled him off a cliff. While Derviş Ö. lost his life as a result of Ayaz's attack, the assailant tried to flee from police teams. The teams, who identified the killer as Ayaz, captured the individual as a result of a 2-hour search operation.

The incident occurred around 01:00 last night in the Yıldıztepe area of Bursa's Mudanya district. 22-year-old Mehmet Ayaz, who was traveling in the same vehicle as his friend Derviş Ö., demanded his 650-lira debt, leading to an argument between the two. After tensions rose, Derviş Ö. opened fire on Ayaz with a handgun he was carrying. The assailant, who threw Ayaz—who died at the scene after being struck by bullets in the head—off the cliff along with the vehicle he arrived in, fled the scene.

Bystanders who noticed the incident reported it. Upon the report, numerous police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Following investigations at the scene, Ayaz's body was taken to the Bursa Forensic Medicine Morgue.

The Bursa Public Security Branch Directorate and Murder Bureau teams stepped in to find the suspect who fled the scene. The teams, who identified the suspect, captured him in the Nilüfer district within 2 hours of the incident following extensive work. The processing of Derviş A., who was taken to the police station to have his statement taken, is ongoing.
