Famous presenter Metin Uca, who was intubated at the hospital where he was taken after an accident in Kocaeli, has passed away at the age of 62.

Stating that he took Uca's statement regarding a complaint during his time as a public prosecutor, Özgündüz's 'Haka dance' memory is as follows:

"In the early 2000s, during his "Good Morning Turkey" program on Star TV, the then-Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) and a number of MPs filed a complaint against him, claiming that he was 'insulting us' due to his 'Haka dance' reference directed at those who deserved it.

As a public prosecutor, I took his statement and issued a decision of non-prosecution, stating, "The words in the program and the 'Haka dance' he sent contain satire; he is criticizing politicians within the scope of freedom of expression, there is no insult."

Years later, we met again and talked about those days; we discussed the poor state the country and the judiciary have reached.

He was an intellectual who was very sensitive to the country's problems.

May God have mercy on him; may he rest in peace and his soul be blessed.

I offer my condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones."
