Manisa Chamber of Commerce President Mehmet Yılmaz has brought a project held under the auspices of the President to the agenda.

Stating that he received an instruction regarding “the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) project, in which five provinces were selected to allocate Treasury lands to Syrians,” Yılmaz said the following:
“A project is being carried out under the auspices of the President: FAO. They selected five provinces, they came here. The Governor signed it, and we were supposed to sign it as a partner. A head from the United Nations came and said, ‘Treasury lands should be given to Syrians here permanently, 30 decares, 50 decares, etc.’ They were going to give a grant of 3.8 million dollars. Then they were going to give them places in Yunt Dağı, in Recepli, Örselli, Karavelli. I said, ‘The President may have said so. I cannot sign this.’”
"TAKE THEM AND MOVE THEM TO AMERICA"
Noting that Aydın, Bursa, and Balıkesir signed the project, Yılmaz stated, “The citizen who prepared the protocol says, ‘the founding elements here.’ He says, ‘Turks and Syrians will benefit from this equally.’ I said: The Syrian is not a founding element. We are the founding element. They are here in the status of refugees, guests; I am not signing. There was a fight, a commotion. I said, ‘I will give you 4 million dollars, you take them and move them to America.’”
MOVED TO PARLIAMENT
İYİ Party Spokesperson and Ankara Deputy Kürşad Zorlu, who moved the claim to the parliamentary agenda, asked Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, “Is such a project being carried out? If it is being carried out, what is the purpose of the project? In which provinces is it planned to allocate how much land for the project?”
