CHP Ordu Deputy Mustafa Adıgüzel shared a video on his social media account showing students in Gürgentepe, Ordu, marching to AKP anthems and a poem recited by the voice of AKP President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan as part of a Sarıkamış commemoration event.

"PROVOCATION BY PUBLIC AUTHORITIES"

Reacting to the situation, Adıgüzel added the following note to his post:

“They made students march to AKP anthems and a poem in Tayyip Erdoğan's own voice, conducting AKP propaganda.

Gürgentepe is a district where Alevis and Sunnis have lived together in brotherhood for centuries, and the entire population is loyal to Atatürk and the republic.

I am speaking as someone whose grandfather was martyred in that geography during the Great War.

Organizing a Sarıkamış commemoration march in this district on New Year's Day, and making school students march to a Tayyip Erdoğan poem and AKP anthems, is a provocation carried out by the director of national education, by public authorities.

You recite a poem saying 'The Hill of Martyrs will not remain empty,' but then you go and collaborate and negotiate with terrorist organizations.

Do not bring politics into schools.

Do not bring politics into public institutions.

Take the necessary action against this director immediately and put him in his place, otherwise, we, as the people of Gürgentepe, know how to do it.”
