Student Activity (Öğrenci Faaliyeti) held a protest in Taksim. Police intervened against the students who said, 'We cannot live on 66 TL KYK, we cannot find housing.' It was reported that the students who participated in the protest were detained.
"A DETAINED STUDENT'S ARM WAS BROKEN"
In a post on the X platform, Student Activity stated, "Could those in the palace survive on 66 TL a day? We do not accept the 66 TL daily KYK! We will hold you accountable for the 66 TL you deem fit for us! You cannot intimidate us with detentions! One of our friends, who was detained with torture because they could not make ends meet, had their arm broken."
While misery, poverty, and a daily 66 TL KYK fee are deemed fit for us, our friends were detained with torture because we do not accept the luxury enjoyed in palaces!
