Surprising request from drunk driver whose license was confiscated: 'Make sure you get a good shot so we can be famous'

The incident took place at midnight on Ebulfeyz Elçibey Street in the Taşpazar neighborhood of Aksaray. According to the information obtained, the car with license plate 68 AJ 134 was stopped during a routine check conducted by the Traffic Registration and Inspection Branch Directorate teams to ensure traffic safety and prevent negative incidents.

LICENSE CONFISCATED

The driver, Orhan Ç. (51), who underwent a driver's license, vehicle registration, and General Information Gathering (GBT) check, was found to have a blood alcohol level of 1.02 promille. Following this, traffic teams began penalty procedures, issuing a fine of 4,064 TL to the driver for driving under the influence and confiscating his license for 6 months.

Noticing the journalist filming him while police teams were processing the paperwork, the drunk driver smiled and made a surprising request, saying, "Get a good shot, brother. Make sure you get a good shot so we can be famous, get a good shot."

While the drunk driver's vehicle was handed over to a relative called to the scene, the driver was taken to the Aksaray Police Station for questioning after a health check at the Aksaray Training and Research Hospital Emergency Department.
