Following the collapse of the Assad regime in Syria, Syrians in Turkey have begun celebrations. Opposition supporters who arrived at the Syrian Consulate in Nişantaşı lowered the Syrian flag and unfurled a flag bearing the words 'Free Syria'.
The Ba'ath regime in Syria came to an end today (December 8) following the attacks launched by jihadist groups led by HTS against the Assad administration on November 27.
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has left Damascus, which has been captured by opposition forces. It is currently unknown where Assad is.
Following the collapse of the Assad administration in Syria, Syrians across Turkey took to the streets to celebrate.
Syrian opposition supporters who went to the Syrian Consulate in Nişantaşı lowered the Syrian flag. In its place, they unfurled a flag with the words "Free Syria" written on it.
Meanwhile, the crowd gathered on the street chanted slogans and held demonstrations of joy.
