A security guard who shot a passenger in the leg following an argument at the Marmaray station in Bostancı has been taken into custody. The incident was captured second-by-second on the station's security camera.
At the Bostancı Station, A.A. (41), who was allegedly intoxicated, was warned by private security guard M.T. (41) after disturbing those around him.
A.A., who was causing a disturbance, ignored the warnings and attacked M.T.; during the ensuing scuffle, the suspect was shot with a firearm.
Upon notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
It was learned that A.A., who was taken to the hospital by medical teams, is in good condition. Furthermore, it was determined that the suspect had a criminal record for various offenses.
M.T., who was taken into custody by police teams, was released under judicial control at the courthouse where he was referred following his processing at the police station.
Meanwhile, the scuffle was recorded by a security camera. The footage shows the security guard warning the person waiting in front of the turnstile, the suspect attacking, and the firing of the weapon during the struggle.
