In Nevşehir, two young drivers who were performing acrobatic maneuvers and riding their motorcycles while lying down in traffic were issued a total of 81 thousand lira in traffic fines. The motorcycles were also banned from traffic. The moments were recorded by other drivers and sparked outrage on social media.
The incident occurred on Fevzi Çakmak Street in the Sümer neighborhood. Two young men performed acrobatic maneuvers on their motorcycles. The youths, who were racing each other in flowing traffic, then continued their journey by lying down on their bikes. The moments, in which the youths disregarded their own lives, were captured by the cameras of other drivers.
The Nevşehir Police Department's Traffic Registration and Inspection Branch teams, who examined the footage on social media, first identified the license plates of the motorcycles and then the drivers. The driver of the motorcycle with license plate 50 AEL 701, Eren A., and the driver of the motorcycle with license plate 50 AES 229, Ergül A., were apprehended by police teams in a short time.
The youths, who were found to be driving without a license, were issued a total of 81 thousand 40 lira in traffic fines along with other rule violations, and the motorcycles were banned from traffic.
