This is how he left the courtroom: The court has reached a decision on Ogün Samast

The first hearing of the trial in which Ogün Samast, the murderer of Agos Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Hrant Dink, is being tried without arrest and facing up to 10 years in prison, was held today at the Istanbul 14th High Criminal Court. During the hearing, Ogün Samast's lawyer requested additional time for Samast's defense, stating that the prepared indictment had only recently been served. The court panel accepted the lawyer's request and decided that Samast's defense would be heard at the next hearing. Samast left the courthouse.

Agos Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Hrant Dink's murderer Ogün Samast's trial for 'committing a crime on behalf of FETÖ' was held at the Istanbul 14th High Criminal Court.

Ogün Samast arrived at the Akçaabat Courthouse in Trabzon to participate in the hearing, which began at 10:00 AM at the Istanbul 14th High Criminal Court, via the Audio and Video Information System (SEGBİS).

REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL TIME ACCEPTED

The hearing was attended via SEGBİS by the non-detained defendant Ogün Samast, as well as defendants Ramazan Akyürek, Ali Fuat Yılmazer, and Erhan Tuncel, who are detained in other cases. Lawyers for the Dink family and defense attorneys were also present at the hearing.

The presiding judge stated that the defenses of defendants Ali Fuat Yılmazer, Ogün Samast, and Ersin Yolcu would be heard at today's session. Ali Fuat Yılmazer was the first to be given the floor to present his defense.

Ogün Samast's lawyer, Raşit Hodo, stated that the prepared indictment had only recently been served and requested additional time, asking that Samast's defense not be taken today.

Accepting the request, the presiding judge decided that Samast's defense would be heard at the next hearing.

Samast did not make a statement as he left the courthouse. He got into a vehicle and quickly drove away.
