Uğur Akkuş, the husband of Ebru Şallı who is in the process of divorce, made a series of scandalous posts on his social media account while Altaylı was in custody.

Unable to contain himself, Akkuş alleged that during the rallies held in Saraçhane on the days when IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu was arrested, Fatih Altaylı called CHP leader Özgür Özel and gave him instructions to have insults directed at AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Akkuş also announced that he would share the audio recording of his alleged claim.

Akkuş, who has approximately 16 million followers on Instagram, shared the audio recording of the phone conversation he claimed to have had shortly after.

It was understood that the phone conversation in question was voiced using artificial intelligence. Akkuş responded to the incoming comments by saying, "The chief thieves, more will come. Since we knew you would call it a montage, fake, or artificial intelligence, all criminal reports for the audio recording of the conversation have been obtained."

HE WAS SENTENCED TO 4 YEARS AND 2 MONTHS IN PRISON FOR QUALIFIED FRAUD

Businessman Uğur Akkuş and his nephew Emre Akkuş were tried in 2024 on the grounds that they had issued bounced checks in a business transaction. As a result of the trial, both individuals were sentenced to 4 years and 2 months in prison and fined 83 thousand 320 TL for the crime of "qualified fraud."

ALLEGATION OF FRAUD USING ERDOĞAN'S PHOTOGRAPH

Another notable incident involving Uğur Akkuş took place in Kuwait. It was alleged that Akkuş defrauded the Kuwait Orphans Foundation, managed by close relatives of the Emir of Kuwait, of approximately 20 million dollars by using photographs he had taken with AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and some ministers. According to the allegation, after this incident, the then-President of the Turkish Football Federation, Nihat Özdemir, intervened and ensured the problem was resolved by making a 20 million dollar payment to Kuwaiti authorities.
