Ümit Özdağ claims 'cracks in the soil were seen' regarding the disaster in Erzincan
Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ went to the region following the mine collapse in İliç, Erzincan, and made striking claims in a social media post from the site.
Özdağ stated that hours before the collapse, 6 workers at the mine saw cracks in the soil and refused to work.
Stating that they had warned the government about the disaster on June 25, 2022, Ümit Özdağ made the following posts:

We warned the government on June 25, 2022, about the disaster that would occur in İliç, Erzincan. The mine was closed for a short time. Then it was reopened. And today, a massive environmental genocide is taking place.
The disaster in İliç happened in plain sight. At the beginning of the morning shift, 6 workers saw the cracks in the soil and said they would not work there. And they left the area. These 6 people were saved in this way.

It is confirmed that 9 people are under the rubble. The incident occurred during the shift change.
It happened in the field where crushers and trucks were located. It is a field where 150-200 people could be present, and they have not yet been able to determine the number of people there.
