Victory Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ visited the Defne and Samandağ districts of Hatay, where he met with citizens and local business owners in these areas that suffered massive destruction to listen to their problems and concerns.

During his time there, listening to the public's problems and receiving information about the ongoing efforts, Ümit Özdağ shared a striking situation occurring in Hatay with his party members and social media followers in a post he made on his social media account in the evening.

Sharing the crisis created by a turbaned group that came to Hatay from France through a video on his account, Özdağ also highlighted the consequences of a lack of oversight and the potential dangers in question.

Detailing the crisis point by point, Ümit Özdağ shared the following information about this group, which did not refrain from attacking even the officials in the region:

The turbaned group from France, which occupied the Hatay agenda for days, argued with the local people who did not allow them to set up camp in the Defne district of Hatay.

After a scuffle broke out, they were detained by police teams who arrived at the scene, taken to the Topboğazı region, and told to leave Hatay.

However, when they appeared again in a different neighborhood of the Defne district the next day, another incident occurred. Upon the neighborhood headman calling the gendarmerie to report the situation, they were detained with reverse handcuffs by the gendarmerie teams who arrived at the scene and were removed from the region.

"THEY GOT INTO AN ARGUMENT WITH THE POLICE"

After a while, the 3-vehicle convoy appeared again in the Reyhanlı district and came to the Cilvegözü border gate, wanting to cross the border by stating that they would go to Palestine. Despite the customs gate officials stating that the border gate is currently not active and they could not exit from there, they continued their persistent attitude, got into their vehicles, and moved their vehicles toward the customs officer and gendarmerie sergeant on duty at that hour, causing the officers to be injured.

The law enforcement officers on duty intervened in the incident, arrested 3 people, and sent them to Kilis prison: The others, excluding the 3 people, went to the courthouse around 18:00 in the evening and got into an argument with the police officers on duty.

When a scuffle broke out at the courthouse, they got into their vehicles and tried to flee the scene by moving their vehicles toward the officers on duty.

"IT IS SAID THAT THEY ARE LINKED TO A GROUP IN NORTHERN SYRIA"

As a result of a chase with law enforcement, the vehicles were stopped after the police officers on duty fired into the air. The individuals who locked themselves in their vehicles were removed from their vehicles with the help of the fire department and taken into custody. After their statements were taken, they were released that evening, their vehicles were confiscated, and they were delivered to a trustee garage.

Because they went to the garage where their vehicles were the next day and tried to take their vehicles by force, they were detained by police teams called to the scene and taken to Kilis and left there.

It makes you feel sick, doesn't it? Moreover, it is actually said that they are linked to a group in northern Syria.
