Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ announces the result of an early election: Özgür Özel also wins

Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ was a guest on Sözcü TV on the night he was acquitted in the trial where he was accused of exposing MIT personnel who were martyred in Libya. Özdağ, who was a guest on the special broadcast made on the night the channel was to be blacked out, also drew attention with his early election statement here.

After being held in the Marmara Prison in Silivri for 148 days, Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ, who was released by the court he was brought before, was acquitted of another case filed against him just days after his release.

An indictment had been prepared against Özdağ on February 26, 2020, on the grounds that he "deciphered the identities of MIT personnel serving in Libya." The Ankara 26th High Criminal Court acquitted Özdağ, for whom a prison sentence of 3 to 7 years was requested within the scope of the indictment, on the grounds that "the legal elements of the crime were not formed."

ÖZGÜR ÖZEL ALSO WINS

While CHP Chairman Özgür Özel called for an early election for November 2 at the rallies he organized, Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ also made an assessment regarding the results of a possible early election during the live broadcast he attended.

Underlining that he was speaking according to the poll results in his possession, Özdağ began his sentence by saying that it would not be very accurate to talk about the year 2028, and used the expression, "Erdoğan has no chance of winning in an early election to be held this weekend."

Özdağ spoke as follows:

"When the ballot box arrives, he will lose; this is a certainty, it is a certainty within the politics we foresee today... In an election to be held this weekend, whoever runs against Erdoğan, Erdoğan loses!

I am saying this because the poll was conducted with this knowledge; there is a difference, this difference is a bit higher if it is Mansur Yavaş, the difference is a bit lower if it is Özgür Özel, but still, Özgür Özel also wins."
