Voting has begun: Over 50,000 voters head to the polls in 7 electoral districts
More than 50,000 voters are heading back to the polls to cast their ballots in 3 districts and 4 towns where the Supreme Election Council (YSK) decided to renew the elections.
Following the Local Administration General Elections on March 31, the YSK reviewed the objections filed and decided to renew the elections in certain districts, towns, and neighborhoods.
LOCATIONS WHERE ELECTIONS WILL BE RENEWED
Accordingly, voters will head to the polls to elect their mayors in the Pınarbaşı district of Kayseri, the Hilvan district of Şanlıurfa, the Güzelyurt district of Aksaray, as well as the towns of Güneykaya in the Yıldızeli district of Sivas, Büyükkarıştıran in the Lüleburgaz district of Kırklareli, Akpazar in the Mazgirt district of Tunceli, and Sağlık in Aksaray.
Voters will be able to cast their ballots between 08:00 and 17:00. In accordance with the law, the broadcast ban regarding the elections will remain in effect until 21:00.
The YSK may choose to move this time forward. Meanwhile, voters in 212 neighborhoods will determine their neighborhood headmen (muhtars).
